Richin Aji Sebastian (born October 18, 2004), known professionally as Richin Kuzhikkad, is an Indian music producer and YouTuber. His initial exposure came through his covers uploaded on Instagram Reels and YouTube. He started producing music at the age of 11 after doing his Piano and Music Theory Grades from Trinity College, London. After his first background score for the shortfilm POLYA, He created his own record label named RK and started distributing his music, while songwriting and ghost producing for other artists all at a very young age. Having collaborated with several artists and brands, He is one of the youngest music producers in India.
With primary intent on a solo career, He released his debut Original Background Score Album, "POLYA (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)", in 2020, through his own record label. He got recognized after this release as this was a project made for Kerala State Syllabus as an educational study material, which was later featured by Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE VICTERS) & Versatile Information and Communications Technology (ICT) of Government of Kerala, India.
Richin released his debut single, "You're the only One", in 2020, followed by 2 other singles, "GO" and "Sleep", which to him was just 3 dummy tracks that he made to test his record label insights, which helped him know more about the record label business. After all the research and studies, He released his first successfull single, "rainy", in 2021, which got worldwide recognition and got into many Lofi playlists.
After the outbreak of COVID-19, lockdowns and restrictions completely isolated him and he started focusing on social media influencing and creating short content on Instagram Reels, Facebook & YouTube Shorts.
He released his first short cover of the song "Enjoy Enjaami", on March 18, 2021, which blew up on Instagram and Facebook. After the success of "Enjoy Enjaami", he gained recognition for multiple subsequent releases, including "Oru Kari Mukilinu", from the movie "Charlie", which was shared and commented by it's music director Gopi Sunder and was aired on Flowers TV's popular South Indian television show "Star Magic". Followed by that, he released a short cover of the background score from the movie "JOJI", which also blew up and was shared by it's composer Justin Varghese. Also, Richin covered "Theerame" from the movie "mālik" which is his most favorite cover among his fans as well.
Continuing to focus on Binaural Audio Mixing and Spatial Audio, he then created his own form of Surround Mixing that was far less complex and cost effective than Dolby Atmos, and founded DOT K studio in October 2021, bringing his binaural mixing services to the public, along with other services including Recording, Mastering, Film Editing, and Visual Effects. He started it as a solo part-time business, which later became a professional production house hiring aspiring engineers.
He still released covers online through his Instagram and Facebook profiles and got featured to do the promotional cover of "Mammokka Fans Song" from the movie "Nancy Rani", in September 2021, which became so successful that he got his chance to do the Sound Design and Visual Effects for the movie.
After a long break from the remixes, Richin remixed the hit single "everything i wanted" by Billie Eilish in 2021, featuring his manager and vocal coach Jijo John, in January 2022. As a result of the exposures, Richin collaborated with many celebrities and viral artists including Alphons Joseph, Santhosh Sivashanmugham, Junaiz VP, Sidharth Raghuraj, Fasil LJ, Ashbel Peter, Amal Vinod and the list goes on.
He has also collaborated with leading brands including Josh, Ajmal Bismi, ...
and was also featured in leading news channels including The New Indian Express, Manorama Online, Times of India, Madhyamam, Asianet, ...
Currently he's directing music for the South Indian Film Industry
and also working with other major music directors
and running his own studio 'DOT K studio' in Kottayam, Kerala.
